Blizzard Takes Strict Action Against Rule Violators In Diablo IV
- Aug-15-2023
Blizzard is notorious for readily deploying the ban hammer in Diablo IV, and while there isn't a precise number of banned players, estimates suggest it could be in the thousands. These users have, in one way or another, attempted to cheat their way through the game.
Many instances involve exploiting online bugs that can be beneficial. One such example is the "Seasonal Exploit" where players could transfer large quantities of gold and other items between the Eternal and Seasonal worlds.
After being addressed in the version 1.1.1 patch, numerous players who utilized this bug have reported being banned. These players are now recounting their experiences on social channels, with some pleading their innocence, while others outrightly admit to knowingly exploiting despite the potential repercussions.
One major concern with this fraudulent play is that innocent users can become collateral damage. For instance, if they inadvertently receive gold from a player who has abused the bug and eventually gets banned. It's not an enjoyable situation, and Blizzard isn't turning a blind eye to such issues.
