The Untold Story of Crash Bandicoot 5: Hopes Dashed as Development Halts
- Jul-16-2024
After three decades in the gaming industry, the vibrant Crash Bandicoot has become a beloved character for both children and adults, known for games that are generally of high quality.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, the most recent addition to the series, was released by Toys For Bob nearly four years ago. Since then, fans have eagerly anticipated a fifth installment. Unfortunately, it has now been confirmed that the project has been cancelled internally.
Nicholas Kole, a character designer involved in the project, mentioned on their X account that someday people will learn about the Crash 5 that never came to be, and it will be heartbreaking.
Despite internal efforts to save the project, they reportedly yielded no results, and the development of Crash Bandicoot 5 has completely ceased, which is, of course, disappointing if the reports are accurate. Toys For Bob has yet to make any official comment on the matter.
Did you enjoy Crash 4, and do you still hold hope that Crash 5 might be released one day?
